I really like the quote from your Animoto, "The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery." That's a good way to explain what it is that's so exciting about teaching. Even though we have this knowledge ourselves, it's still a wonderful thing to see a student's eyes get wide when they "get it" for the first time themselves. It makes the job fun.
Hi Brandon! It's so awesome that you're in a band!! I played trumpet all through middle and high school. I think it's important for kids to be exposed to music at a young age. I hope that you have a great first semester in your program!!
I have a soft spot for musicians. My son is an Organ Performance major from WVWC. I'll be interested to see how you integrate technology and music as my band and chorus teachers are always wondering and I don't have any super answers for them.
